Project Lifesaver International (PLI) helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce the potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer's, Autism, Down syndrome, dementia and other related conditions.
PLI provides equipment, training, certification, and support to law enforcement, public safety organizations and community groups which operate the Project Lifesaver program in their communities. PLI has over 1,500 participating member agencies across 50 states in the United States, 7 provinces in Canada, and Australia, and PLI agencies have performed over 3,350 searches over the last 18 years with a 100% success rate.
Clients enrolled in the program wear a personalized transmitter that enables searchers to locate them with greater ease. When an individual on the program goes missing, trained public safety agencies are dispatched to search and use radio frequency (RF) technology to help pinpoint the exact location of the missing person.
Project Lifesaver provides a service that brings valuable peace of mind to caregivers, creates time and operational efficiencies for agencies, cuts taxpayer dollars spent on exhaustive searches, and most of all SAVES LIVES.
